Day 31 Jan 31
Well yesterday was a disaster and here I sit today weighing pretty much what I did when I started this challenge. I am apparently not paying attention to my portion sizes and the fat burner I am using isn't for me. I worked out with Dan this morning and trained legs - I tried to do my best - lunges, outside & inside thighs and calf raises with 8 total minutes on the ellipical machine. I also made an effort today to cut my calories and portion sizes - 3/4 cup bran flakes, 1/4 protein bar and few bites of bagel with roast beef and provolone cheese, Ham & cheese sandwich on wheat bun, 3/4 cup of bran flakes and boiled egg, tortilla pizza and 3/4 cup bran flakes. I hope this will help!! I really want to get down and get lean and healthy!! I need to really apply myself!!!
Day 30 Jan 30
We've reached 30 days in the plan! I haven't gotten the results that I really want but I realize that I really haven't tried either - I need to focus and remember the big picture not just today! Didn't get out of bed to do 10 mins on the treadmill so I'll have to do that tonight when I get home. What to hit the cardio hard at the gym today and stay true to my nutrition plan! I absolutely didn't stay true to my nutrition - Dan and I hit Roosters for lunch and I'll have a drink with him when I get home. I will be good on Saturday to make up for it. I am disappointed with my effort so far. I've got 8 weeks to make up for it...I need to buckle down to get to that level of fitness that I'd like to attain. Cardio - 20 minutes on the treadmill and another 10 tomorrow morning. I've got to really get my head in this game.
Day 29 Jan 29
Last Friday was really looking good and then Free Day happened! I have trouble getting back in gear on Sunday and today wasn't much better. I really feel like I should be farther along with my goals at this point in the game but then again I am not a very patient person. I got out of bed this morning and did my abs - Yeah! Hit the gym and trained legs, squats (heavy) with the Smith press, inside thighs, outside thighs, a few calf raises and ended with 5 mins on the treadmill. Nutrition wasn't too bad today though I will say the portion sizes get me everytime! I really need to work on those. I can see some results in my legs - I've lost a lot of bloat around my hips and thighs but I want more! That's why I will stay committed to the challenge!!

Day 26 Jan 26
Very tired this morning but got my 8 minute abs done. Hitting the gym for upper body at noon...
Hit the gym today!! Upper body got quite the workout!! 5 minute warm up, tri cep pull downs, lat pull downs, chest press and shoulder raises. I increased weights and really tried!! I was happy about my workout and I hope I lose even more next week!
Good day - tried to stick to my nutrition plan as best as I could - the rum and pineapple found it's way into my supper plans but I needed to end the week and the emotional stress too.
Next week is a new week and one step closer to conquering my goals!

Day 25 Jan 25
Today - got cardio done in the morning and then walked for 10-15 minutes in the evening. Had John's funeral today and that was hard but I was happy he didn't have to suffer anymore. Tried to eat well though I did a tribute for John and had a cookie (it was really good)! Feeling much better physically - clothes are fitting much better. Everyone at the funeral told me how good I looked and that really helped me - more motivation!! Awesome!!! I can move forward now and know that I am making progress - I'm going to make it to the end!!! We are going to beat this challenge!!! C'mon $20,000!!! Ha,ha,ha!
Day 24 Jan 24
Today was a good day - got cardio done since I didn't make it to the gym (John's showing). Proud of myself for coming home and getting it done though! Ate pretty good today too. I am starting to drop some weight so I am getting my motivation back! Dan is doing an excellent job and I have really relied on him for the past couple of weeks! Yoohoo - progress!!

Day 24 Jan24
I tell ya...this challenge is NOT going my way...I can't seem to get my butt in gear. I am going to do cardio when we get home from the funeral home tonight since I won't be able to do upper body - going to hit the treadmill tomorrow too for my real cardio day - I'll be sure to do upper body on Friday - I'll just have to skip the double leg workout this week. Food is my biggest downfall though - I have had my oatmeal and an egg, my cottage cheese and a WHOLE english muffin with spray butter and reduced fat peanut butter...this is just ridiculous. I really have got to find a way to size down my portion sizes. I am not really craving anything today just bored and that makes me eat...ridiculous. I really want to be down into my clothes and have them fitting correctly. This is week 4 and that should already be happening. I am not sure what else to do other than just stop eating (of course stop eating trash) and workout until I fall over. I am going to up the intensity of my workouts and see what happens. I am going to have to get motivated - I want to really finish this thing and win!!! Motivation, THINGS IN MOTION TEND TO STAY IN MOTION...

Day 23 Tuesday
Today was a good one! Did cardio hard on the treadmill and did another 5 minutes on the exercise bike. I felt good after my workout and I am hoping that it will scare the fat away!! Did well on my nutrition today too - except for a saltine cracker with reduced fat peanut butter...no too bad. Have really been fighting the urge for a drink today but no other cravings. I am feeling more toned though the scale hasn't shown anything and that is frustrating to me. So I am not going to look at the scale anymore...just the way my clothes fit. I am going to hit cardio with all my heart everytime and do more walking at night on the treadmill. Dan is doing great and looking great too!!! Love that man!!! Way to go - come on challenge - I'm going to beat you!!!

Day 22 Sunday
To be this far into the challenge I really feel like I should be further along. Today at the gym with my gym clothes on I weighed 142.6. I don't feel like this is a solid effort though I have been trying to stay true to my workouts...I think that perhaps my portion sizes could be to blame. I want that lean hard body back and I want to be closer to 130lbs!! Went and worked out with Dan today - it was a good one! Trained legs...leg press, leg extensions, leg curls and 2 sets of calf raises - tried to keep my weights going up too. Really want to try and keep going with this...I want those abs damn it!!
Day 21
I did cardio today too since I switched up my weight and cardio routine last week becaues of having Friday off. Did well with my nutrition program today though Beercan chicken, Angel food cake with blackberries probably doesn't qualify for the program...it was chicken though darn it! I am going to try and hit my cardio much harder the next few weeks - I want those rock hard abs and I am going to have to start working extra hard!
Day 20 Saturday
Today back to the challenge!! Did my cardio this morning for 20 minutes and also walked for 10 minutes. I am really trying to stay true to this challenge but I don't feel like I am doing it. I really need to stayed focused!!! I need to watch my portion sizes - I think that might be the problem or at least contributing.

We are off today and decided to do free day!
I enjoyed a pancake with sugar free syrup, Wendy's and Chipotle!! I probably shouldn't even be having free day because I really don't feel like I am making a difference with this challenge.

Day 17 Jan 18
Today...I'm a little frustrated because the scale is saying I'm not losing weight but my clothes fit so much better so how can that be? It's almost the end of week 3 and I've got pictures tomorrow night!! Trained upper body today because I am off tomorrow and can do cardio then. Did chest press, lat pull downs, tri-caps pull downs and shoulders. Did 10 minutes of warm up and cool down too. Have been really hungry here lately - Dan says because my body is losing all the fat - well I hope he's right. My resolve is really being tested...I really want a drink tonignt. Going to wait until tomorrow night...or Saturday. I really want to stay true to the challenge...I really want to see this things through - I can do it. Just need to reach down deep and pull myself up - need to complete this thing. Dan is doing an awesome job and I need to watch him...I need to lean on his discipline right - he's rockin the town and I need to do the same!!

Day 16 Jan 17
I think I've missed a couple of posts but I guess there really wasn't anything exciting that happened. I've really tried to stay true to the challenge...the weight is not coming off like I would have hoped but I am still trying! I am going to concentrate on my workouts and getting tight - perhaps the weight loss will follow. Did upper body on Monday with Dan and it was awesome, cardio yesterday and tried to push it. Doing legs today and will push that too...going to try some new exercises to stay tuned....

Day 14 Jan 15
Got my butt out of bed finally and did my ab workout!! Should be a great day for the challenge. Dan came and workout with me at the gym and it was awesome! We did upper body and he really helped me - I did a lot of exercises I don't normally do. Packed really good food for today and am really proud of us. It was a great day for the challenge and we really hit it hard! I am geared up for those 3 week pictures - I can't wait until we get them done on Friday afternoon. We have a long weekend this weekend and those are normally the hardest for me to stick to my nutrition plan. We are really going to do this thing!!! Yahoo!!!
Day 13 Jan 14
Back to the plan today!!! Did 20 mins cardio on the treadmill and felt great afterward!! Tried to stick to the plan though I think my portion sizes weren't very good. Dan got his cardio completed too and I was proud! It was another really rainy day so we weren't able to get outside and do anything but it was a relaxing day and got us ready for another week! We are in this challenge with both feet and we are getting ready for week 3 pictures - I feel like I've changed some so I really want to see the difference in the pictures!! C'mon challenge!!!
Day 12 Jan 13
It's free day! Had a few wonderful alcoholic beverages and they were awesome!! Also, had a pancake with turkey sausage this morning - really took advantage of free day. No workout! Felt terrible when I actually did go to bed - the first sign that free day was taken advantage of!

Day 11 Jan 12
Today was fantastic!! I felt awesome today - took my new fat burner today and I really like the results so far - really keeps me going and I'm not too spaced out (once I learned not to drink any other caffeine source with it!). Workout went well today. I really tried to make sure I was consistent and worked hard. I was able to hit the upper body that I missed on Wednesday and the lower body too. I was very happy about that. My diet stayed very good today too - I was proud of myself. Going to have a nice relaxing night tonight and gear up for free day tomorrow - I'm not too excited about free day other than the fact that I'll be able to have an adult beverage!

Day 10 Jan 11
I think my blog days got off number but I think I've got them right now...today dawned - I tell ya those fat burners are potent - I had a little trouble going to sleep last night and I woke up wide awake this morning - I can still feel some of the effects of those things - WOW! I got on the treadmill this morning for 10 mins (5 mins jogging). Going to get part of my upper body workout in today at the gym. Nutrition looks good for today and I've got something thawing for supper. Really starting to feel good and getting confidence back in myself though I have a long way to go!
Dan has been doing and awesome job and I can see his cheeks aren't so chubby! Good job!
Had two pieces of pizza today - really feel like a failure but I'm not going to let it stop me!

Day 9 Jan 10
Today wasn't too bad...I started the morning by walking 10 minutes on the treadmill. I had a lot of appointments today and didn't get in all my meals but I feel good! I started my new fat burner and it is REALLY potent so I am going to take it everyother day instead of everyday. I didn't get my workout in at lunch because of schedule conflicts but this evening I did 4 sets of push ups and 4 sets of crunches. I am planning on getting part of my upper body caught up tomorrow at the gym.
I am still dedicated to the challenge and really want to start seeing the pounds fall off! Dan and I got together last night and did some bill crunching that has needed done for a while and I think our more healthy life style has allowed up to do those things. I am starting to feel like my old self again even though my clothes still aren't fitting exactly right.
Free day is 2 days away!!! I can't wait!!! :-)

Day 9 Jan 9
Wow - boy did I realize the size of my gut this morning - unbelievable and embarassing. I am really going to have to make some serious changes to get back to my old self...I've never had a tummy look like this before - I've always had that flat stomach!!! I want it back and I'll do whatever it takes. I need to cut my calories and get serious about my meals. I am trying to combine my protein and carbs but I feel like I am eating too many calories...perhaps I should continue this way and introduce my fat burner so I can build lean muscle. I want to be toned and lean - I want my old body back! I want to feel better about myself and fit in my Harley jeans. I want to be sexy and have Dan drool over me! I am going to do it...I am setting my nose to the grindstone and getting it done!
Dan is doing an awesome job and I am really proud of him - he'll get lean really fast even though he has fat to lose! Go Honey!

Day 8 Jan 8
Still feeling that extra fat but I'm drinking as much water as I can and trying to watch my portion sizes. Really need to get rid of the extra calories and get down to the nitty gritty so I can start toning and get long and lean! Got my ab work out done this morning and that made me really happy! Trained legs in the gym today and really tried hard. Didn't get through my whole workout because of time (that seems to be a factor these days). Did well drinking water until I got home - watched the OSU game (it was horrible). Did not stick completely to the plan - ate WAY more than my portion and ate a few things that certainly were not on the plan (dip on the veggies, yogurt dipped raisins and peanuts, a few fries etc). However, did have chicken breast and salad. Really felt bloated when I got home - most likely because I was trying to down the water! Really need to focus on this challenge and portion size. I don't really feel like I'm getting anywhere...need to buckle down and get it done.
Day 7 Jan 7
Back to the plan today. I don't really feel like I am doing this plan justice as I really haven't lost a lot of weight. I guess I need to be patient. I would like to get my fat burners bought so they can start helping too! Did my cardio for 20 minutes today and then did another 10 minute walk on the treadmill. I am feeling really good though I am really irritated about the extra fat I am carrying. Dan is doing a great job and I am really trying to support his efforts! Need to keep my nose to the grind stone and get this thing conquerered!!!

FREE DAY!
No working out today and no diet! We did pretty good today though we did go out 3 times - Bob Evans, Broney's and Hamricks! Dan did so awesome with his pledge not to drink for 30 days - he had Pepsi at Broneys - way to go Dan!

Day 4, Jan 5
Well I don't really feel like I am doing a good job on this challenge but I am trucking along. Did upper body workout today and I tried to hit it hard. My diet is going pretty well though I haven't been able to stay away from Christy's cheeseball!!! I am down to 140 now from 145 so I really shouldn't be complaining though it is amazing to me that I weigh 140lbs! I really want to be lean and toned and I need to figure out how to do that...I need to stay true to the challenge and I can acheive it! Dan is doing awesome and I am right behind him. I think I am going to try to cut my calories a bit and see if I can achieve that lean body a little faster.
Forgot my notebook at the gym so I am going to try and remember my weights. Need to really hit my cardio the next two days - maybe we should do Free Day tomorrow and be good for the game on Monday. I really hate trying to squeeze two Free Days into one week.
I am committed we are going to win this thing!

Day 3, Jan 4
I am still moving forward...feel like my cardio was a little lack luster today. My diet wasn't bad though I slipped a little and had some cheese with two Triscuit crackers. I need to be vigilant and stay within the bonds of the challenge. I really want my workouts to be intense and noteworthy. I did 10 minutes on the ellipical machine, 10 minutes on the exercise bike and 5 minutes walking on the treadmill. I feel a little sore from my leg workout yesterday but that just makes me want to move forward more. I want that hot body - I don't want to let Dan down - I don't want to let myself down! I've been throwing myself into making sure we have the proper meals made and don't have any contraband in the house. I haven't weighed myself since the beginning of the challenge but I am really hoping to have lost at least a pound. Dan has done really well - he's lost a pound already! We are going to beat this thing and go all the way. I am hoping to get our supplements ordered and be sure we are feeding our bodies correctly!! C'mon fat loss!!!

Day 2, Jan 3
Day 2 dawns and I am ready to meet the challenges. With Dan last night we came up with a good leg workout for today and my meals are in place and ready!! Just one day on this challenge has really boosted my energy level and I see a difference in Dan too! We are committed!
Found out that we can do the couples challenge today too - that is extreme motivation to me because I won't want to fail Dan!
Today was good - the enchiladas were amazing and I'll be making those again real soon!
The workout was good too...I thought the lunges were going to put me in the grave but I got them done. I was short 3 sets but I can complete those at home. I want to boost my intensity and really WORKOUT.
That lean tight body is right around the corner - just got to keep my diet going. That is the worst part for me. If I don't think about it I'm fine but as soon as I start thinking I'm on a diet I start craving things. I want to keep my mind straight and keep moving forward!!

Day 1 2007 BLF Challenge!
Well here we are at day one. Got on the scale this morning and feeling really bloated and nasty. Acidy taste in my mouth and wondering what the heck did I do to myself over the Holidays! I am going to get the body I've always wanted and I am going to start today! I have our notebook ready on the kitchen table and each evening over dinner we are going to go through that notebook and make we keep it up to date.
I've got goals that I want to acheive during this challenge...
So got my 20 minutes of cardio done today and did my meals though lunch wasn't a good choice...Wendy's grilled chick sandwich (no sauce). I am going to lose the weight and get lean and toned!!!
Alright challenge bring it on because I am going to beat you!!
